Recreational League

Ages 4 to 14 (PreK thru 8th grade) can join. Age division depends on the child’s age on September 1st. Refer to USA Lacrosse's Official Age Chart to see your child's specific age bracket.

Girls Divisions:

• Juniors (grade PreK–2nd)
• Lower School (grades 3–5)
• Middle School (grades 6–8)

Boys Divisions:*

• 6U
• 8U
• 10U
• 12U
• 14U

*the "U" means "and under"

Season: Mid-January through late April.

Games: Saturdays starting in mid-February. The game schedule will posted during season once it's established by the league.

Mondays & Wednesdays

Girls:

• Juniors: 6:15–7:15pm
• Lower & Middle School: 6:15–7:30pm

Boys:

• 6U & 8U: 6:15–7:15pm
• 10U–14U: 6:15–7:30pm

Price includes the uniform, practice pinnie, and a shooter shirt! (See FAQs for uniform info.)

Cost:

• Early Bird: $350 until November 15
• Regular: $385 until December 18
• Late fee:
  • $20 after Dec 18
  • $35 after Jan 8

Full equipment is needed for all ages. 

*Boys: we recommend getting a mouth guard that attaches to the helmet.

Register early and choose your jersey number. Numbers are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis (no guarantees). The sooner you sign up the better chance you have of getting the # of your choice.

Uniforms, a practice pinnie, and a shooter shirt are included in the registration fee.

Games

Home games are held at Seacrest. Away games are held in South Florida locations such as Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and Parkland. Most of our teams play approximately half away and half home games.

Riptide prides itself on our values of hard work, dedication, sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect of self and others. In line with those values, we require that every player, parent, and coach adhere to a code of conduct we can all be proud of.

This is a game, remember:

• These are kids
• All coaches are volunteers
• The officials are humans

All of the above will make mistakes. It's how we respond to them and to each other that makes a difference.

Remind your kids to:

• Help another player
• Always offer assistance
• Introduce yourself to a new player on your team
• Be respectful of the referees
• Say thank you to your coaches

A few DOs and DON'Ts:

• DO cheer for your team, not just your player.
• DON'T yell at the refs—it doesn't ever help. Let the coaches handle it.
• DON'T coach your kid from the sideline—it gets confusing. If you want to coach, let us know! We are always looking for volunteers!
